| About us
The Swedish Association of Recycling Electronic Products (Elektronikåtervinning i Sverige Ekonomisk Förening – EÅF) offers comprehensive recycling solutions for the electronics sector. Together with our members, suppliers and society in general, we endeavour to minimise the costs and environmental effects associated with end-of-life electronic products. EÅF was founded in 2007 to collect and recycle electronic waste. The objective of the Association is to help our members fulfil their obligations as manufacturer in accordance with Swedish Ordinance 2005:209 (known as the WEEE directive). EÅF also provides advantageous solutions for financial guarantees. A manufacturer that sells household products must ensure that funds be deposited to treat waste if the manufacturer for some reason is unable to do so – for example, should the manufacturer leave the market or become bankrupt. A financial guarantee may also be in the form of an insurance policy. EÅF closely cooperates with insurance companies specialised in recycling-insurance cover. EÅF has a slim administration and low operating costs. The Association is therefore an interesting alternative for all manufacturers. As an independent player, suitable solutions can be tailor-made for the Association´s members. All manufacturers that fulfil the Association´s terms and conditions are welcome to become members of EÅF. |
